(leonardo da vinci, leonardo da vinci paintings) Study finds that Last Supper food has been supersized over the years (The Post-Standard)

Researchers found that the size of the food depicted in paintings of the Last Supper has grown over the years. The food in famous paintings of the meal has grown by biblical proportions over the last millennium, researchers report in a medical journal today. Using a computer, they compared the size of the food to the size of the heads in 52 paintings of Jesus Christ and his disciples at their final meal before his death. The size of the main dish grew 69 percent; the size of the plate, 66 percent, and the bread, 23 percent, between the years 1000 and 2000. I guess you could say that it is the equivalent to an Ohio State or a Penn State but without the state government funding (which is there on the Ag and Vet school side of the campus). For one, Professor Wansink is in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell - one of the STATUTORY COLLEGES at Cornell.
